About Julie
I am a licensed clinical and macro social worker and formerly the Michigan State University, MSW Program Coordinator for off campus programs. I have provided mental health services, primarily to adults, taught social work graduate level courses and worked in homecare and hospice programs.
I have a particular interest in grief and loss and have provided counseling to those individuals who have experienced all types of losses in their lives.
As a licensed clinical social worker, I believe in a collaborative relationship and value the individual and their experience. By putting people at ease and providing a comfortable environment, I feel honored to have individuals share their thoughts, experiences, fears, shame, and joy with me.
I believe in the individual’s ability to change, respect self-determination and am here to be a guide and resource. The journey is an individual’s own – sometimes fraught with unexpected detours. I am here to assist with the navigation and provide support and guardrails when needed.
