Neuropsychological Services

Led by Neuropsychologist Carlos Oliveira, PsyD.

  • The clinic is an abbreviated 5.5 hour neuropsychological evaluation designed to help identify early changes in memory and thinking.

    • Includes a concise, 1-2 page report with clear results and personalized recommendations

    • More thorough than brief screenings done at primary care offices

    • Efficient scheduling, more affordable and less time-consuming than comprehensive assessments

    • Helps guide treatment planning, medical decisions, and next steps

    • Can clarify if full neuropsychological evaluation is needed.

  • The clinic provides objective, evidence-based neuropsychological assessments to address a variety of questions in medical, legal, and other contexts (for example, fitness for duty or personnel selection). This typically takes 8–15 hours to thoroughly assess different areas of thinking and memory.

In some cases, additional time may be needed.

    These assessments can:

    • Help guide treatment planning, medical decisions, and next steps

    • Assist in identifying the underlying causes of cognitive difficulties

    • Include specialized neuropsychological evaluations for pilots, when needed

Psychological testing may also be included as part of the evaluation.

These services are conducted in accordance with the APA ethical standards and AACN/INS professional practice standards. These standards emphasize respect for autonomy, beneficence, nonmaleficence, justice, and professional integrity.

  • The evaluation typically ranges from 8–15 hours, depending on clinical questions and other factors (e.g., insurance limitations).

The ADHD clinic is focused exclusively on the assessment of ADHD and does not evaluate other neurodevelopmental disorders (e.g., Autism Spectrum Disorder or learning disabilities).

Psychological testing may be incorporated when appropriate, as mental health conditions—such as anxiety disorders—can also contribute to attentional and executive functioning difficulties.

  • The clinic ranges from an 8–15 hours neuropsychological evaluation designed to thoroughly assess decision making. There may be instances in which more time is needed (e.g., medicolegal cases).

The clinic provides objective, evidence-based neuropsychological assessments to support complex medical, legal, and personal decision-making.

Psychological testing may also be integrated.

These services are conducted in accordance with the APA ethical standards and AACN/INS professional practice standards. These standards emphasize respect for autonomy, beneficence, nonmaleficence, justice, and professional integrity.

  • At your first appointment, you’ll meet with the doctor for an intake assessment to discuss your concerns and goals for testing. During this visit, we’ll determine whether testing is appropriate and provide an estimate of the time involved and the expected cost.

  • Insurance Options:

Dr. Oliveira is currently accepting Blue Cross Blue Shield plans.

    Out-of-Pocket Rates:

A $250 fee is charged at the first intake appointment. The number of hours required for testing varies, and the total cost will be reviewed and the fee schedule communicated at the end of that visit before any additional payment is required. We can provide a superbill upon request, which you may submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. Please note that reimbursement is not guaranteed and depends on your individual plan benefits.

There will be no surprise charges.
